This dictionary is the most useful thing ever It s brill.I am just completing my BSL Level 1, and planning to progress and continue with Level 2 shortly and this book has been invaluable in filling in the vocab that I just can t absorb in my 1 hour lessonIt helped me no end to revise for my exams etc and I know it will be a solid ongoing resource throughout my sign education as it covers EVERYTHING includng swearing Would recommend to any adult learning BSL although it is not particularly portable as it s about the size of a very large and heavy Yellow Pages It s actually very easy to navigate and gives full descriptions of everything including hand shapes, directional movements, regional and other possible variations and other words that sign means etc.If you are only doing level 1 and not planning to take your signing further then I would say this is a lot of money for a book you won t use for long, it s really a resource for those taking their signing forward indefinitely.

Book was wonderful, but the cardboard envelope it was posted in had industrial strength glue on the flap and this was stuck to the cover of the book inside Subsequently I had to rip the cover to get the book out of the envelope One of the dumbest issues I ve ever had buying a book Note to sellers wrap the book in sellophane first if you re going to post it in these cardboard envelopes.

Fast delivery, great book Not what I would call excellent condition, as it is very well read, cover is tatty and bent in several places and spine is quite worn That said, it was pennies, compared to the cost for new and I am very, very pleased with it.

Arrived in time frame given Great book Having recently passing my level 2, I wished I d have bought this book sooner It may take of bit of reading to understand what the symbols mean but this looks to be an impressive book a mine of information Level 2 upwards an essential purchase.

I m currently learning Level 1 BSL and this is great for dipping into to look up a word to expand knowledge or to jog the memory I did look at this before taking up my lessons and it was a little confusing it makes sense when you ve been taught the finger spelling alphabet and understand the signing space and the natural fluid movements that make up BSL I gives some regional variations of words which is useful as I study in the West Midlands but family is in Surrey.

Too bulky, print type face too small, Illustrations much too small to be helpful

The book is first class just what I need for my course and future levels Has all the details of how to sign and explanations of hands and body movement.I bought it as secondhand as were out of stock, the Company that sold it to me first sent a copy which was below standard but when I contacted them they went out of their way to help Supplied a another book and paid the postage for the first book to go back.Well done.mrs L J M Thornby
